Jillian M Templeton

Jillian is a Senior Scientist (Microbiology) with the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries, based at the EcoSciences Precinct, at Dutton Park in Brisbane. Jillian is a mid-career researcher who has led projects over the past 20 years to investigate the epidemiology of Campylobacter on Australian meat chicken farms; the development, validation and application of genotyping methods for Campylobacter; and the development of rapid diagnostic techniques for Campylobacter. Most recently Jillian has investigated the variation of two key food safety pathogens, Campylobacter and Salmonella, in representative Australian processing plants. Jillian will present some of this data today.
