Sally Partridge
Sally Partridge is now a Senior Hospital Scientist at Westmead Hospital and honorary Principal Research Fellow at the University of Sydney, working in Prof. Jon Iredll's group at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research. She completed her PhD at Oxford University in 1992, on sporulation in Bacillus subtilis, then worked at the University of Sydney and Wollongong University. She moved to Macquarie University/CSIRO in 1997, where she started working on antibiotic resistance and mobile genetic elements in Gram-negative bacteria and has published three major reviews in this area. Sally is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy. She is a a founding fellow of the Faculty of Science of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, a Fellow of the ASM and sits on the ASM National Examinations and Qualifications Board.
