Ferric Fang
Dr. Ferric C. Fang is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine, Microbiology and Global Health at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington, USA. He obtained his undergraduate and medical education at Harvard University and his post-doctoral clinical and research training at the University of California, San Diego. Prof Fang has thirty-five years’ experience as a clinician, educator and researcher studying bacterial genetics and pathogenesis. He has published 240 peer-reviewed articles and currently serves as the Director of Clinical Microbiology at Harborview Medical Center and the Deputy Editor of the IDSA journal Clinical Infectious Diseases. He is the former Editor-in-Chief of the ASM journal Infection and Immunity and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Association of American Physicians, the American Academy of Microbiology and the American Society of Clinical Investigation.
